Introducing our new membership manager

We are delighted to welcome Carolin Waldmann to the team as Membership Manager, while Manja, who has been holding the role since 2021, remains on our team as General Coordinator. Carolin lives in Findhorn Ecovillage in the north of Scotland and has created a Q&A to introduce herself!

Boekel awarded SDG prize

GEN EU member ecovillage Ecodorp Boekel in the Netherlands has once again been recognised as a shining example of sustainability best practice - this time by the EUTECH SDG awards, in the Sustainable Cities and Communities category.

CISU Prize for Danish Network

Meanwhile in Denmark, the Danish ecovillage network LØS was awarded as an outstanding organisation in raising awareness for development work for its work with GEN Ukraine.

Borgo Basino, a member of the Italian ecovillage network, has been badly affected by the devastating floods in the Romagna region of Italy this May. True to their spirit of solidarity, they are raising funds for a project that helps the wider community: rebuilding a washed-out road and reconnecting local residents. They have written extensively about the problem and the plan, and welcome donations to support their work where public administration has failed a rural area.
