In less than a week we will be together in the Nature Community - so exciting!

In this Moon Cycle News you can already get a first taste of what is happening on the (gathering) ground and appreciate all the loving preparations by our Dream Team (20 European Solidarity Corps Volunteers from all across Europe) for our arrival. You will also find some last reminders and info regarding the General Assembly and Gathering and a last invitation to join, in case you are still thinking about it - we still have a few places left.

In the meanwhile, I hope enjoy the several invitations this Moon News offers!

Like every year, we will elect two new council members. Do you know a good candidate? Please read the council member profile requirements  and think of possible candidates that you will nominate during the GA. Also please note that we will try out a new socicratic election process this year! National Networks are entitled to 5 delegate tickets, Full member communities to 3 delegate tickets and Aspiring members to 1 delegate ticket.

Please note: You can only claim your delegate tickets for the gathering if your 2023 membership fee has been paid, and you have at least one delegate present in the General Assembly.

There is still time to join us and experience what will be our biggest meeting yet. You can now find full descriptions of every workshop on our website. Browse what's on offer and start planning your dream day at the Gathering! Start with energising yoga or nature meditation, then join our morning circle with inspiring speakers. After a break meeting new friends from around the world, maybe you'll get get hands on with soil regeneration techniques, learn community-building methods, rethink economic systems, or explore personal development tools from ecovillages. After lunch connect with others in sharing groups, browse the ecovillage market, or simply relax before dancing, storytelling, a film night or a concert. There's something for everyone (with a full children's programme too!) - and we can't wait to give you a warm welcome...

Set up your stand at 'Meet the Ecovillages' at the Gathering to spread the word about your community and sell your own sustainable and ethical products. Additionally we will weave in more and exclusive opportunities for ecovillage & project matchmaking this year and are currently creating templates for you that can be printed out and filled out to better portray your community and to enable the matchmaking process.

A few weeks ago, 20 European Solidarity Corps Volunteers from all across Europe arrived in Nature Community to share their energy to make the Gathering a truly magical experience. With their motivation and creativity they are creating beautiful workshops spaces and infrastructure to welcome all of you! From morning meditations and afternoon yoga sessions, to a relaxing Sauna in the evening. During the working hours they are also learning how to cook delicious vegan dishes that you will all be able to enjoy during the gathering. This past weekend they went for a beautiful historic walk in the natural surroundings of Nature Community with some of the community members. Soon you will also be able to join our volunteers and enjoy all the magic of Nature Community and the gathering.

GEN Europe is developing a new project in the frame of the CERVprogramme of the EU, with the aim of developing debates, workshops and event within our local communities to raise awareness on the challenges posed by climate change and the potential of ecovillages and other community-led initiatives to bring forward regenerative and inclusive answers. We envision most of these events to happen locally, and we would like to ask you to fill this questionnaire, that will help us to design the project in a way that integrates the competences and the needs of our members. Please, share the link with all those in your network/community that you think may be interested in this topic, and fill it in before next Friday 21st of July.

Join Live-to-Be, a funded volunteering project by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) 🤗

Use your skills and enthusiasm to gain new experiences in community living. They are seeking high sensitive young adults to participate in

🌟gardening (Biodynamic and permaculture),

🌟organizing activities for young adults,

🌟simple construction work, and

🌟hosting/hospitality.

If you're interested in community building and eager to be part of our experimental community, apply now! The project runs from the first half of July until December 2023.

A few months ago we started to invite our members to interviews so that we can gather more information about them, strengthen our relationships  and to distil what is really important to them so that we as GEN EU can serve them in the best way possible.

Since they are not only of great inspiration for us - we will now also always share the essence of the interview with you via spotlighting one of our members here in the Moon News.
