We are happy with the return of our projects coordinator, Fanny, who has been on extended maternity leave until August. She and Dario now form the new projects team, dividing the responsibilities that were previously held by just one person. While Dario will keep up the efforts of securing new projects in the future, Fanny will focus on the oversight of our current projects. We are excited for this new constellation, and of course happy to both have Fanny back in the office, and to keep Dario as a staff member permanently. In the last weeks, we submitted Communities for Local Green Deals, an ambitious project to facilitate dialogue among European citizens and local policy-makers about sustainability, climate change and grassroots democracy. We also received the unfortunate news that COMMIFY, a project that was submitted in March to support individuals to join existing communities or start their own through a learning platform and a match-making app, was not approved. We'll keep working with our partners to further develop this idea and continue promoting the diffusion of the ecovillage model. |
