Ecovillage Inspiration:
How it all started

Did you know that the concept ‘Ecovillage’ came into existence in 1991 and by the mid-90s, many intentional communities had begun to call themselves ecovillages?

The founding impulse of GEN is marked by the conference ‘Ecovillages and Sustainable Communities – Models for the 21st Century’ that took place in Findhorn in 1995.

Curious to learn more about how it all started?

Check out this article as part of the Findhorn collective autobiography project "Celebrating on Incredible Family".
