Dear GEN Europe Community,

As the wheel of the year turns toward the Spring Equinox, day and night hold equal space before the sun begins its steady climb, promising longer days and shorter shadows.

After the restorative stillness of winter, now is the time for a lot of us to share the visions we have composted over the winter months. A quietude we recognize not everyone in our world has had possibility to experience. For those who have carried heavy burdens through the cold, we hope this shift brings a much-needed reprieve.

Spring is not just a seasonal shift; it is a call to action for our hearts. As the earth awakens, may we also wake up to the possibilities and challenges of the coming season. Let’s carry the light of the sun into our projects & actions, our ecovillages, and our shared future.

In solidarity and growth,

The GEN Europe Team

News from around the Network
Protect Ukrainian Forest

In Yemelyanivka, Ukraine, a local community is fighting to turn 180 hectares of forest into a state-protected nature reserve. After successfully stopping illegal logging, they are now racing against a biological clock: they must document rare species starting this April to secure the forest's legal status.

Their goal is to raise €1,500 for trail cameras and acoustic recorders before spring awakens.

Youthseed - Planting projects for a Regenerative World

Last October, change-makers from 8 countries gathered at Oasis des Âges for a transformative Erasmus+ journey. Through the GreenComp framework and late-night heart-to-hearts, they did not just design project, but also built a community rooted in regeneration.

🌱 The seeds planted are already growing. Watch the video for a glimpse into the energy, the people, and the vision they shared.

Youthseed was implemented by Argoumbat and co-financed by the EU.
